Despite her last releases ‘Agnyathavasi’ and 'Naa Peru Surya’ which were duds, pretty actress Anu Emmanuel is looking ahead and pinning big hopes on her upcoming release 'Shailaja Reddy Alludu' to break the jinx. “I play a rich spoilt brat and egoistic girl in this hilarious film which is packed with commercial ingredients in the right measure. As only success counts in this industry, I am also waiting for this film's success,” she said.

Wasn’t she disappointed with flops? “In fact, I was shattered with flops,” she quips. On working with Naga Chaitanya and Ramya Krishna, she adds “It was great working with both of them. It is a challenging role for Chai as he is playing this loud character for the first time in his career.

Ramya Krishna is such a sweetheart and helped me well through the making. While director Maruthi knows how to extract the best from each actor and puts actors at ease,” she pointed out. On missing out on ‘Geeta Govindam’, she adds, “I am tad disappointed. As the film got a bit delayed, all my dates were blocked for Bunny's film ‘Naa Peru Surya’. I had no choice but to give up ‘Geeta Govindam’. Nevertheless, I am happy for Vijay and Rashmika,” she concludes.
