Venkatesh to don Army attire?

For the first time in his 25-year-old career, seasoned star Venkatesh will be donning the role of an Army Colonel and would be wearing an Army uniform in his upcoming multi-starrer with Malayalam star Dulquer Salmaan. Billed to be a war epic, the ‘Drushyam’ star will be doing a ‘special role’ which  otherwise has Dulquer in an author-backed role, says a source. 

The proposed multi-starrer is all set to mark the debut of young director Sripal Reddy who reportedly impressed Venkatesh and Dulquer with his exciting storyline. “Venkatesh was excited to play the role of an army man and agreed to the big- ticket film from June next year but he hasn’t signed on the dotted line,” says a source, close to the unit. No doubt, Venkatesh is experimenting with roles these days. 

After playing a cable operator in ‘Drushyam’, he donned the role of a fiery boxing coach in ‘Guru’ and both the films struck a chord with the masses and classes alike. Continuing his sojourn to explore newer roles, he seems to have chosen a war drama and agreed to don army uniform to offer variety to his fans. In between, the 57 years plus actor will be doing some fun-centric movies like ‘F2’ and ‘Venky Mama’.
