It was against this backdrop and Warangal being the second largest city after the State capital, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has decided to locate all the proposed Central and State government educational institutions in Warangal, the Deputy CM said.

Hyderabad: Disclosing that all proposed Central and State educational institutions would come up in Warangal in the Assembly here on Wednesday during question time, Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari said that the State government has taken a policy decision to this effect. He said so far almost all premier Central and State government educational institutions were established in Hyderabad, adding to the existing congestion in the city.

Stating that the TRS government was committed to make Warangal as an educational hub, Srihari said already new branch of Hyderabad Public School has started functioning in Warangal. A Sainik School, Veterinary College, Agriculture College, 12 new Residential Schools for SCs, seven for STs, four for minorities and one school for BCs, two out of four degree colleges for SC women have already started functioning from the current academic year and one BC Residential School has been upgraded as a junior college, he added.
