Make Digi Dhan Mela a big success: Karimnagar Collector
District Collector Sarfaraz Ahmed ordered the officials to make elaborate arrangements for conducting Digi Dhan Mela successfully at Ambedkar Stadium on Wednesday.
Karimnagar: District Collector Sarfaraz Ahmed ordered the officials to make elaborate arrangements for conducting Digi Dhan Mela successfully at Ambedkar Stadium on Wednesday.
He chaired a meeting with bankers and district officials to discuss the arrangements for organising Digi Dhan Mela, at the Collectorate conference hall in Karimnagar on Tuesday.
The government was determined to carry 100 per cent cash less transactions in the State and to create awareness among people a Mega Digi Dhan Mela will be organised on Wednesday.
As many as 62 stalls of various government departments and bankers will be set up in the Mela along with special stall for enrolling Aadhaar cards and correction of mistakes if any in Aadhaar cards, he said.
The Collector advised the officials of various banks to be available at their stalls for providing proper information to the people on digital transactions along with mobile and net banking.
He urged all the officials to make the programme a grand success, which is being organised for the first time in the district.
Andhra Bank Divisional General Manager Sheshagiri Rao, State Bank of India Regional Manager Shoba, State Bank of Hyderabad Regional Manager Gangadhar were present along with LDM Nageshwar Rao and district officials.
