Asifabad: The demonetisation blues still haunt people as most of the banks across the district fail to house sufficient cash. Almost all banks have been making people struggle for cash, who complain that they don't get enough currency to meet their daily demands.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) lifted the ban on cash withdrawals on current and savings bank accounts, but neither the banks nor the ATMs have cash.

State Bank of India, once the only source of banking for the people of Sirpur Kagaznagar, causing despair to the customers as it lacks sufficient cash to give to the customers.

Hence, the bank officials have been urging the people to go cashless and adopt digital banking. People are disappointed and unsatisfied with the banks, which they claim always make them to return empty-handed without cash.

Speaking to The Hans India, a customer Om Sai said “As a businessman I have to make certain payments before closing the financial year in March. But all my plans are ruined as the banks failed to give cash as per my requirements.”
