Erring health officials will face music: Karimnagar Collector
Stating categorically that dereliction in duties would not be tolerated, District Collector Sarfaraz Ahmed warned of stringent action against the health officials who behave unruly with the patients and show negligence while discharging their duties.
Karimnagar Collector makes surprise visit to Government Hospital in Karimnagar, seeks explanation for the absence of surgeon
Karimnagar: Stating categorically that dereliction in duties would not be tolerated, District Collector Sarfaraz Ahmed warned of stringent action against the health officials who behave unruly with the patients and show negligence while discharging their duties.
The Collector paid a surprise visit to the Government Main Hospital in Karimnagar on Friday and inspected the attendance register.
After noticing the hospital Surgeon absent, he sought explanation from Hospital Superintendent and advised her for installation of Biometric machines for registering the attendance.
Later, Sarfaraz Ahmed enquired with the patients about the facilities provided at the hospital. When patients complained about the low voltage problem, the Collector immediately called upon Assistant Engineer of the electricity department and ordered him to address the issue as early as possible.
Hospital Superintendent Suhasini and other staff members were present when the Collector was on inspection.
