The District Collector D Krishna Bhaskar, on Wednesday, asked the Manager of the Andhra Bank to shift the Bank to other place within four days since the Strong room (Locker room) and ATM centre of the bank are obstructing the road widening works in the town. 

Sircilla: The District Collector D Krishna Bhaskar, on Wednesday, asked the Manager of the Andhra Bank to shift the Bank to other place within four days since the Strong room (Locker room) and ATM centre of the bank are obstructing the road widening works in the town.

The Collector inspected the road widening works at Geethanagar. The Municipal officials had given a notice one month back to the Andhra Bank Manager Srinivas to shift the bank to other place since the Locker room and ATM centre of the bank are obstructing the road widening works and marked the area.

But the manager did not take any steps for shifting the bank till date. Today when municipal officials visited the place they noticed that the bank manager ignored the notice issued by the civic body.

When municipal officials started demolishing the part of the Andhra Bank building, the bank manager did not allow them to demolish the building. Responding immediately to the complaint received from the municipal officials, the District Collector D Krishna Bhaskar rushed to the place, inspected the area and asked the bank manager to explain the reasons for not shifting the bank even after receiving the notice.

The Andhra Bank Manager Srinivas requested the Collector to give permission for few more days for shifting the Bank, the Collector ordered the Bank manager to shift the bank within four days of time since the road widening works have to be completed before June 2, the State Formation Day.
