Warangal: BJYM leader from Warangal Anugula Rakesh Reddy has been appointed as the BJP state spokesperson by the party state president K Laxman.

Rakesh Reddy, who hails from Vangapahad village in Warangal urban district, obtained masters degree in management studies and finance from BITS Pilani. He served MNCs like Citi Bank and others in investment banking and analytics fields in India and the US.

Inspired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he joined BJP in 2013. He served the party as BJYM state social media convener and state secretary and won appreciation from the party leadership for his work.

Rakesh Reddy has been writing articles in different newspapers and participates in TV discussions on contemporary issues and politics. He also penned several books.

He thanked the party president Laxman for appointing to the post. He also expressed gratitude to Union Minister B Dattatreya, the party leaders G Kishan Reddy, Ramchander Rao and the presidents of district units in erstwhile Warangal district for extending their support towards his appointment as the spokesperson.
