Boath: An honest Village Revenue Officer of Kokas Mannur village of Icchoda mandal, Narsaiah, handed over a plastic bag that had wads of currency to the police.

Narsaiah found a polythene cover in front of the Tahsildar office in Icchoda on Monday and was surprised to see currency in the cover. Immediately he went to the local police station and handed over the cover to the cops. The police to their dismay found Rs 1.79 lakh in the cover.

After some time, Pamula Rahul of Talamadri village filed a complaint at the police station of losing money, which was kept in a plastic cover.

After verifying the facts, the police confirmed that the money belonged to him and gave it to him.

Sub-Inspector D Mohan complimented VRO Narsaiah for honestly handing over the money to the police.
