Sircilla: District Collector D Krishna Bhaskar ordered the officials of departments concern to complete underground pipelines laying works of Mission Bhagiratha project at the earliest. He chaired a meeting with the officials of various departments before attending the Grievance Day, here at the Collectorate conference hall on Monday.

Addressing the offciaisl, the Collector said that as the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is determined to supply safe drinking water to every household under Mission Bhagiratha by the end of this December, the officials must complete Mission Bhagiratha Intra works before the deadline by speeding up the works with the coordination of various departments.

The Collector ordered the officials of departments concerned to take necessary steps to speed up the planting of saplings under Haritha Haram to complete the target given to the district along with geo-tagging the planted saplings and appointing green brigadiers for protecting the planted saplings.

The officials were also directed to complete the target of distributing sheep units to the beneficiaries under the first phase of ‘Sheep Rearing Scheme’. Some of the shepherds, who applied for the sheep units, did not pay the amount other than subsidy and some others are hesitating to take sheep units.

By creating awareness among the shepherds on the benefits of the scheme, they were told to complete the first phase of distribution process. District joint-collector Yasmine Basha, District Revenue Officer Shyam Lal Prasad, rural water supply department district officer Uppalaiah, and joint director of animal husbandry Kanthaiah were present along with other officials.
