Adilabad: Arrangements are on for the Milad-un-Nabi festival, the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammed, which will be celebrated on December 2. Adilabad Deputy Superintendent of Police K Narsimha Reddy, who convened a meeting with the Muslim elders here on Tuesday, reviewed the arrangements for the forthcoming Milad-un-Nabi. The Muslim elders said that the julus (procession) that starts at 8 am at Abdulla Chowk will culminate at Chaman wale Baba dargah.

Stating that Section 30 is in force in the city, the DSP told the religious heads to obtain permission for the rally. He said that special teams would be formed to ensure law and order besides keeping an eye on traffic movement during the rally. He urged the Muslim elders to take out the rally in a peaceful manner without creating traffic hiccups in the city. Inspector V Suresh, traffic sub-inspector B Venkatesh and One Town S-I Anil were among others present.
