An octogenarian, who lost husband and all three sons and living in a cubbyhole-like shelter for the last four years, was rescued by Sahrudaya Old Age Home on the eve of International Women’s Day on Wednesday. 

Warangal: An octogenarian, who lost husband and all three sons and living in a cubbyhole-like shelter for the last four years, was rescued by Sahrudaya Old Age Home on the eve of International Women’s Day on Wednesday.

Ekkaladevi Rajamma of Kasibugga has been living in an abandoned tin shed feeding on neighbours’ mercy. She was admitted to Sahrudaya Old Age Home run by Md Yakubi in Hanamkonda.

It’s learnt that members of Kotak Mahindra Bank employees union and officers’ association also came to the rescue of the octogenarian.
