Vemulawada: The State government on Thursday allocated Rs 100 crore for Vemulawada Temple Development Authority (VTDA), according to Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy temple public relations officer Upadhyayula Chandrasekhar.

With the funds flowing in, the VTDA is expected to speed up the developmental activity that include, acquisition of 35 acres with an outlay of Rs 30 crore and construction of a 150 feet width tank bund alongside Gudi Cheruvu.

The temple needs another 28 acres for the construction of tank bund at an estimated cost of Rs 25 crore. Following the news of funds allocation, Vemulawada MLA Chennamaneni Ramesh Babu met Finance Minister E Rajender in the lobby of Assembly and thanked him.
