Hanamkonda: Blowing the siren of early elections to State Assembly and Lok Sabha, Deputy Chief Minister K Srihari asked his party men to get ready to face the elections.

At an internal meeting of the senior leaders of the party here during late night hours of Wednesday, he said gram panchayat (GP) elections might be held in July and expected that there was scope for Lok Sabha and Assembly election to take place ahead of the scheduled time.

Srihari, along with Minister A Chandulal addressing TRS MPs, MLAs and party leaders from erstwhile Warangal district, told them to be prepared for the polls. Discussions took place on the possible political changes and the party’s future plan of action in the run for the elections.

Everyone must bury the differences and work together to face the elections. Serious efforts must be made to win 12 Assembly seats and two parliament seats as a gift to Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, he said.

“In the case the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections are held early, there will be only four months’ time left for us after the GP elections are over. Many surveys conducted recently in the State denote that the political atmosphere is favourable to TRS and people opting for KCR’s leadership,” he said.

All the leaders in the party must make efforts to convert the atmosphere into their favour. ‘You should focus on taking the benefits of the State government flagship schemes like Mission Bhagiratha Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bima to the target groups,” Srihari suggested.

The party workers should strive to rectify gap between them and the people. New comers and old leaders have to work in an effective coordination and set aside the differences, if any, he said while the other leaders hoped that the party would win Assembly 110 seats.

However, sitting MLAs like Konda Surekha, Ch Dharma Reddy and MLC K Muralidhar Rao and others skipped the meeting while MLA T Rajaiah reached the meeting at the end. Many ticket aspirants like Rajarapu Pratap, G Ravi Kumar, T Ravinder Rao, P Sudarshan Reddy and others were present along with MLAs E Dayakar Rao, DS Redya Naik, A Ramesh, MPs B Prakash and A Seetaram Naik.
