Hanamkonda: The members of Physically Challenged JAC have demanded the district education department that physical verification of physically challenged certificates issued manually during the ongoing teacher’s transfers.

A large group of members of the JAC, led by its convener Nallela Rajaiah, have staged a demonstration at the district education office in Hanamkonda on Monday. Speaking to the press, he complained that many teachers, who were totally fit, have obtained fake physically challenged certificates issued manually.

According to him, there were about 15 teachers, who obtained fake certificates 10 years ago prior to introduction of Software for Assessment of Disabled for Access Rehabilitation and Empowerment (SADAREM), wherein computerised certificates were issued.

Rajaiah alleged that the teachers with fake physically challenged certificates were claiming benefits under preferential category-A in the ongoing teachers transfers. In order to ensure transparency in the transfers’ process, such certificates must be verified physically, he said.

He wanted the district education department officials to verify the certificates by SADEREM board as it was done in other districts of Telangana. Despite many requests the certificates were not verified by the board in Warangal district, he noted.

Some teachers’ associations and ruling party leaders were backing the teachers possessing fake physically challenged certificates and preventing their verification. The district education officer must keep in hold the transfer orders of teachers produced fake certificates, Rajaiah demanded.

The leaders of several teachers’ associations - Praveen Kumar of PET Association, K Somashekar of UTF, Narender of TTU, T Vishnu Murthy and S Krishna Murthy of TRTF, B Venkat Reddy of TSUTF, Devadas of TDTF, B Srinivas Rao and K Radhakrishna Rao of TPTF have extended solidarity to the JAC agitation.

Vikalangula Hakkula Porata Samithi leader K Satyam, NTDF leaders A Rajender, A Praveen Kumar, B Ramulu, N Venugopal, Nagesh, Lingaiah, Veeranna Naik, B Chakrapani, Polusani Venkateshwaralu and others were present.

The JAC leaders have submitted copies of memorandum to Warangal Urban district DEO K Narayana Reddy and Warangal Urban District Collector Amrapali Kata in support of their demand.
