Kokapet: As part of their effort to encourage children towards Carnatic music, the Bharatiya Kala Samskruti is organising the ‘Svanubhava’ festival in the city. The event will be held at Phoenix Greens International School here on November 23 and 24. A press release from the organisers informed that Carnatic music mogul, TM Krishna will be inaugurating the event.

“Svanubhava was conceptualised with the intention of welcoming the students to the diverse, multicultural world of Indian art and introduce them to the underlying beauty of even the rarest forms. This festival aims to involve students of music and dance institutions, students from private and public educational institutions, and in the process, create hubs of student communities where they can feel a sense of belonging and nurture their passion towards the Indian art forms,” said the statement.

Ranjani Shivakumar will also be attending the event, in which folk dances by the students of Annamayya Government Music and Dance College under the guidance of Kantha Rao will be staged.
