Your beauty is flawless!

There is hope that’s waiting for you in the dark, you should know you are beautiful just the way you are. The line from this song ‘Scars to your beautiful’ gives much reference to the most beautiful being in the universe ‘Woman’. Too much emphasis on physical attributes drives women to get worried about the slightest of the spots on their face.

Scars are often covered so that one can avoid negative comments. However, a few women have proved that scars represent courage and a strong heart that has learnt to overcome clichés, love oneself, and live life in the best way possible.

We often assume that women with any defect in their body cannot live a life that is normal, but the fact that these women could achieve even better than the normal beings says a lot about their confidence, dignity and pride.
Speaking about her scars Sneha Jawale says, “My scar is my beauty that I wear daily. I do not consider my scars as a defect, but I wear them daily with pride without even covering it with makeup.

Everyone is not born perfect; people live their life even with a defect that is there with them since their birth. I have unfortunately got a scar because of somebody’s mistake and I do not feel the need to crib about it as I know I have to live my life with these scars.” Sneha was attacked by her In-laws for dowry in the year 2000; she took some time but has overcome her fears and today she is self-reliant and confident, and is working as a News Reporter for Yuva Shakti Express and also renders her services to several NGOs.

“If you are embarrassed or feeling odd looking at my face then there is only one thing I want to tell the society. I am not here to exhibit my face and showcase it to the society. If you do not like seeing my face I request you not to see it but do not call me abnormal,” she adds.

Ritu Saini, an acid attack survivor said, “It took me two months to overcome the fact that I have to live with the burnt acid scars. I underwent two operations. Unfortunately, I could not complete my education and I could study only till Class X. I work for an NGO, which works for mobilisation of acid attack survivors. It is strange how people mock me when they look at me. With the support of my brother and Alok sir I could overcome my scars and live a normal life. I believe that beauty lies in one’s heart and not face. Your heart defines your beauty.”

Being imperfect depends on a person’s mentality. Once you start searching the inner beauty then things start looking different, the scars that were once your defective part of your body will then be changed to your identity.
