Hyderabad: The 34th Annual Day of local DAV School was celebrated on a grand scale on Thursday with about 4,000 parents attending. The chief guests were GHMC Deputy Commissioner Venugopal, Arya Pradesika Pratinidhi Sabha President Vittal Rao Arya, Badam Sarojini Reddy Charitable Trust and Women and Child Seva Samstha Chairman Badam Balakrishna. Students of classes LKG to XII presented cultural items for four hours, receiving wide appreciation.

The power-point presentation by Principal K Partipan was appreciated by the parents.
He announced many incentives to both students and parents, like introducing bus tracking/bus transport mobile app for the benefit of students travelling in school buses.
He announced that 20 classrooms would be built by the next academic year as to provide quality education, to a round of loud applause, as also to arrange AC waiting hall and bank counters for paying fee.

The guests gave away prizes to the students who won at various national and international competitions and medals/mementoes to those who excelled in both cultural and social activities. Students of classes LKG to XII presented cultural items for four hours, receiving wide appreciation.

Cultural events on social and historic events like Jhansi Lakshmibai received wide appreciation. Plays on concepts like ‘Betipadavo’, ‘Making India/Made in India’, ‘Swachh Bharat’ were also well received. There were LED screens, DJ sound system, modern lighting for the benefit of the audience. Many parents lauded the lucky draw and presentation of silver coins to the winners. They thanked the principal and the staff.

Vittal Rao Arya praised the school for including in the teaching methods stress on Vedic culture. ‘It is our responsibility to educate our children in this school’.
While proposing vote of thanks, the principal appreciated the patents, the police, teaching and non-teaching staff for their presence.
