Dr RS Praveen Kumar, Secretary, TSWREIS, said that the Chief Minster approved free laptop distribution and financial assistance schemes for poor meritorious students
Speaking on the occasion, he said, “the government has rolled out the free laptop distribution scheme to reward the poor students who made it to IITs, NITs, medicine, NIFT, TISS, IISM and many other acclaimed institutions of higher learning across the country.
“The chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is committed to transforming the lives of the needy students through quality education, scholarships, nutritious diet, besides providing laptops under the KG-PG mission”, exhorts Dr Buddha Prakash. Dr RS Praveen Kumar, Secretary, TSWREIS, said that the Chief Minster approved free laptop distribution and financial assistance schemes for poor students, because, they shouldn’t lag behind their well-off classmates in pursuing higher studies.
He thanked the Chief Minister and the Minister for the Scheduled Caste Development Department, Jagadish Reddy for giving a major thrust to residential institutions in the state and their overwhelming support to the educational empowerment and career advancement of poor children under the KG-PG mission.
