New airport to come up at Dagadarthi
Municipal Administration Minister P Narayana said they had identified 2,600 acres of land at Dagadarthi for airport and the Union government had also expressed its nod for the facility. He was addressing a workshop organised by the APIIC on Saturday in the city.

Nellore: Municipal Administration Minister P Narayana said they had identified 2,600 acres of land at Dagadarthi for airport and the Union government had also expressed its nod for the facility. He was addressing a workshop organised by the APIIC on Saturday in the city.
He said not only promoting industrial organisations but it was also essential to encourage marketing for supporting the entrepreneurs. He said airport facility enables improving business opportunities for industrialists. He directed the officials to consider the suggestions provided by experts for improving basic infrastructure in the industrial parks.
He also advised them to focus on land acquisition in new areas and provision of electricity and water facilities for the existing industries. District Collector M Janaki said the district administration had identified 25,000 acres of land for the upcoming industrial areas. She assured that they would arrange a special desk for providing services to them.
