Karimnagar: The five-day seminar on 'Indian Heritage and Culture' that was organised at seminar hall of Arts and Science College in Satavahana University concluded on grand note on Wednesday.

Principal of the college Dr Jafar Jari, who presided over the seminar, said that the seminar was held like a festival and volunteers who had been entrusted with organising the seminar carried out their duties with commitment and played a key role in making the five-day seminar a huge success.

Attending as chief guest to the valedictory, NSS coordinator Dr D Harikanth said that the students, who were pursuing education in the university, were showcasing their skills by performing well in various programmes organised at several platforms and have been winning prizes not only at the varsity-level, but also at the national and international platforms.

Dr Padmavathi of Sociology department stated that it was the responsibility of every person to protect the Indian culture and traditions besides respecting the women in the society.

Later, mementos were handed over to volunteers who rendered services to the seminar. Director of Academic Senate Dr V Ramesh, D Vijay Prakash, B Bhagya Lakshmi, Vijay Kumar, Srilatha, Kanakaiah, Narasaiah, D Shankar, Prasadu, Srinu and volunteers were present.
