Hyderabad: The Covid-19 control room was set by the GHMC March 22 to take calls from citizens round-the-clock. The following departments are placed in the Control Room to attend the calls: GHMC. UCD of GHMC, health, revenue, labour, civil supplies depts, 104, & 108 ambulance service officials.

The control room also attends to twitter complaints and feedback calls from foreign returnees. As many as 32 ambulances are kept available at different locations. Control room so far got feedback reports from 24,382 persons regarding foreign travel history.

So far, the control room received 31,942 calls from the citizens on different issues. Of them, 1,074 calls pertained to suspected Corona cases and the information intimated to the officials concerned to take action accordingly. As many as 1,069 calls were received for ambulance, 1081 for ration. Food was arranged to to 91.47 lakhs persons through mobile Annapurna vehicles. Around 16 vehicles were provided to HKM Charitable Foundation for supplying food.

On Tuesday, the control room received 137 calls. Twenty four calls were related to suspected Corona Cases. 43 calls were received for ambulance facility. Seventy calls were for food from home isolation families and others. Accordingly, 6,900 food packets delivered by Annapurna Mobile vehicles.
