Kamareddy: Bichkunda MPP Ashok Patil on Monday presented Kalyana Lakshmi cheque to Hanmavva of Mishankallali village of Bichkunda mandal. The MPP said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has sent the dowry amount for the wedding.
He appealed the parents not to perform child marriages, instead asked them to allow their daughters to pursue higher studies. The MPP requested girls and women to dial 100 if they are in danger.
Village sarpanch Saraswati Sanju Patil, AMC former chairman Raju, TRS mandal president Venkat Rao Desai, AMC vice-chairman Mallikarjun, former ZPTC Sairam and others were present on the occasion.
