Prof B Suresh Lal, Department of Economics & Sports Board secretary, Kakatiya University (KU), has been appointed as the National Coordinator for the World Academy of Literature, History, Art and Culture (WALHAC) in India by the WALHAC General Coordinator Dr Xavier Ramirez S.

Warangal: Prof B Suresh Lal, Department of Economics & Sports Board secretary, Kakatiya University (KU), has been appointed as the National Coordinator for the World Academy of Literature, History, Art and Culture (WALHAC) in India by the WALHAC General Coordinator Dr Xavier Ramirez S.

In a meeting on KU campus here on Tuesday, Prof Lal received WALHAC appointment certificate from Vice-chancellor Prof R Sayanna and Registrar Prof K Purushotham.

Prof Lal did extensive research on tribal traditional and cultural aspects like Teej festival, Seetla, and Marriage. Prof Lal who is the Editor of International Journal of Environment & Development, has so far published 106 articles in internationally reputed journals besides authoring 20 books and completing five research projects.

Prof. Lal is Academician of International Academy of Social Sciences USA and Fellow of International Society for Ecological Communication-Poland. He is the member on the editorial board of 35 International Journals. Prof. Lal extensively visited to 20 countries and 20 World top universities like Harvard, MIT, Oxford, Cambridge, London School of Economics, Texas A&M, UNO-Social Research Centre, National University of Singapore, Hiroshima University, National University of Taiwan, University of Athens, University of Rome and Beijing University across the globe on academic assignments. Prof Lal is a recipient of more than 45 prestigious academic honors, awards & citations.
