Nalgonda: Minister for Education G Jagadish Reddy stated that State government was committed to develop Nalgonda in all aspects.

On Thursday, along with local MLA K Bhupal Reddy and Zilla Parishad chairman Banda Narender Reddy, the Minister inaugurated the second pipeline to Nalgonda town from Udayasamudram reservoir and a pump house constructed with an estimated cost of Rs 116.50 crore under Amrut scheme at Pangal in Nalgonda town. Later, he inaugurated service reservoir located at Anneshwaram Gutta in the town.

Speaking on the occasion, Jagadish Reddy said had alleged that the previous governments had never paid attention to the public issues, particularly water woes of people in the district and the State. "Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao keeping the promise he made to people during the agitation time had come up with Mission Bhagiratha scheme to provide safe drinking water to every household in the State and achieved it," he said. He informed that Telangana was the only State which has been spending Rs 45,000 crore on the welfare schemes in the interest of all sections of the society.

The Minister further informed that the Chief Minister would tour Nalgonda very soon and inaugurate the medical college established in the town. Later, Jagadish Reddy also laid a foundation stone for service road at Cherlapally, for construction of CC roads at Yellamma temple and Pujitha Apartments under FDF funds, central lighting system and CC roads with an estimated cost of Rs 29.69 crore at tower circle and inaugurated service reservoir constructed at Bodagutta in the town.

Collector Gaurav Uppal, MLC Tera Chinapa Reddy, Rythu Samanvaya Samithi State chairman Gutha Sukender Reddy, officials of various departments, party town president Abbagoni Ramesh Goud and locals leaders accompanied the Minister.
