6 lakh devotees witness Srivari Brahmotsavams in Tirumala

Tirumala: The TTD had successfully provided Srivari Mulavirat darshan to a record number of 6.02 lakh common devotees during the first seven days of the ongoing nine-day Srivari Annual Brahmotsavams at Tirumala, said Deputy Executive Officer of Srivari Temple Harindranath.

Speaking at the media centre on Monday morning, he said darshan for common devotees was given priority during the Brahmotsavams by slashing the VIP break and the Rs 300 special entry tickets.

All Arjitha Sevas and privilege darshans were also cancelled so as to provide darshan to more number of devotees who arrived at Tirumala on the occasion of Brahmotsavams.

The TTD adopted elaborate queue line streamlining mechanism and deployed efficient crowd management strategies to ensure that the devotees get faster and smooth darshan of both the presiding deity as well as Vahana Sevas.

During the Brahmotsavams, the cash offerings in the temple Hundi also recorded a peak figure of Rs 17.97 crore while a record number of 30.15 lakh laddus have been sold by the TTD to the devotees.A buffer stock of 8.5 lakh laddus was kept ready before Brahmotsvams to ensure no dearth of laddus to the devotees during the nine-day fete.

He said special efforts were made to make the Vahana Sevas more attractive and devotional quotient multiplied under the direction of TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal and Additional E O A V Dharma Reddy which had succeeded in achieving a smooth, trouble-free and devotee happy Brahmotsavams, he maintained.TTD PRO Dr T Ravi, Potu Peishkar Srinivasulu and other senior officials participated.
