AgriGold victims perform Palabhishekam in Eluru

Eluru: Victims of AgriGold fraud accompanied by supporters of YSRCP performed Palabhishekam to the portrait of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy here on Sunday, to express their gratitude to his decision to make first phase payment of Rs 264 crore to the victims.

Speaking on the occasion, YSRCP city unit president B Srinivas said that the Chief Minister's decision would be a relief to 23 lakh AgriGold fraud victims all over the state. He alleged that the previous TDP government had not made a genuine attempt to help the victims. Instead, it tried to grab the assets of AgriGold, he alleged.

YSRCP women wing leader P Srilakshmi alleged that the erstwhile TDP government dragged the issue for five years and as a result hundreds of victims lost their lives.
