AP high court issue notice to TDP leader JC Diwakar Reddy

Amaravati: AP high court has issued a notice to the TDP leader and former MP JC Diwakar Reddy over limestone mining lease in Anantapur district.

Public interest litigation (PIL) has been filed against Trishul cement company seeking CBI investigation back in 2011. In this context, the high court has issued notices to the respondents in the case.

Along with JC Diwakar Reddy, Trishul cement partner's Hussain Basha, S Gopala Rao, T Deva Putrudu, J Naga Subbarayudu involved in the case.

The bench comprising Justice AV Sesha Sai and Justice Ch Manavendranath Roy has passed orders on Wednesday. The AP government has issued GO no 125 permitting Trishul cement company for limestone mining in 1605 acres in Konuppalapadu village at Yadiki Mandal of Anantapur district on April 25, 2006.

A PIL was filed by Murali Prasad Reddy of Tadipatri challenging the orders in the high court. He alleged that they got the mining lease by cheating which includes the partners and benames of Trishul cement belong to JC Diwakar Reddy.

The PIL has come up for hearing on Wednesday. The lawyer recalled that the petitioner has no personal benefit, on March 7, 2012, the joint high court had issued a notice to the defendants. Taking it into consideration, the court has again issued notices and adjourned the next hearing to the fourth week of October.
