Awareness camps to sensitise people on prohibition: Dy CM

Chittoor: For implementation of total prohibition, the State government will organise mega awareness camps across the State, said Deputy Chief Minister and the Minister of Excise K Narayana Swamy.

The Minister gave a call to Self Help Groups (SHGs) and voluntary organisations to play a key role for implementation of total prohibition in a phased manner. He made these remarks while addressing a meeting after participating in Spandana programme at Gangadhara Nellore mandal on Tuesday.

He received petitions from people and asked district officials to resolve them in time-bound manner. Earlier, the Minister was welcomed by the YSRCP leaders and district officials. Joint Collector 2 VR Chandramouli, Chittoor RDO Renuka Devi and other officials were present.
