Brahmin body supports YSRCP

Rajamahendravaram: Andhra Pradesh Brahmin Samakya president and YSRCP leader Jwalapuram Srikanth has appealed to the Brahmin community to support YSRCP in the forthcoming assembly and general elections.

Speaking to reporters here on Monday, he said YSRCP president YS Jaganmohan Reddy has allotted four MLA seats and also assured to allot one Rajya Sabha and MLC seat to Brahmins. Samakya met many political parties asking them to allot tickets but in vain. TDP also denied tickets to Brahmins who were supporting it for 30 years.

YS Jaganmohan Reddy responded immediately when the Samakya asked for tickets and he upheld the respect of Brahmins. AP Brahmin Corporation was diluted in all aspects and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu sanctioned only Rs 300 crore instead of Rs 500 crore assured. Out of Rs 300 crore, an amount of Rs 60 crore was misused in the guise of commissions and all the schemes in the corporation were stalled, he added.

Samakya state organiser Nanduri Venkata Ramana said it is the time for Brahmins to support YSRCP. Samakya district president K Prabhakar, corporation former director Yamijala Narasimha Murthi and others were present.
