Call to celebrate fest with clay idols in Kadapa

Kadapa: The APPCB (Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board) Kadapa urged people to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi festival with eco-friendly idols on Monday.

The Board advised them not to purchase idols made from Plaster of Paris (PoP) as it contains harmful chemicals which pollute water bodies. Also, to moderate the volume of loudspeakers during festival.

In this connection, PCB officials released a poster to promote use of clay idols.
