Celestial wedding at Vontimitta Sri Kodandarama temple

Kadapa: The stage is set for the smooth conduct of the Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam at Vontimitta temple at Kadapa district on Thursday.

For today's celestial wedding the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has completed all arrangements. The Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and Governor ESL Narasimhan will attend the function.

Over lakh devotees are expected to attend the Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam, for which the officials have arranged special galleries to accommodate them.

The Kalyana Vedika is decorated using orchids, cut roses, imported flowers and a variety of fruits and plantain leaves and with special lighting.

The police department has made all security arrangements so that the programme may conduct smoothly. For devotees, TTD has set up 75 food counters, drinking water packets, buttermilk packets.

The RTC is operating 150 special bus services from Kadapa and Nandaluru for the convenience of devotees, who desire to witness the celestial wedding of Lord Rama and Sita.
