Central RO M Rama Rao inspects polling booths in Vijayawada

Vijayawada: Municipal Corporation Commissioner and Central Constituency Returning Officer M Rama Rao inspected the polling booths in various schools here on Monday and ordered the officials to provide basic facilities for voters.

The returning officer inspected T Venkateswara Rao Municipal School, Durgapuram, Kennedy Public School, Bavajipet, Ravindra Bharathi School, Vignan Vihar Schools in Satyanarayanapuram, Jack and Jill School and Railway Training Institute.

He personally observed all the 20 polling booths and checked the fans, lighting, ventilation and ramp arrangements in all the polling stations.

He also checked the toilet facilities, drinking water arrangements and suggested some repairs in a few polling stations.

He ordered the school managements to remove the tables placed in the classrooms which are allocated for the polling purpose.

VMC health officer Dr Madhusudana Prasad and others accompanied him.
