The PCC chief said that how could the Jagan administration conduct Assembly sessions here without caring for the people of the region. He said that the Congress would stage protest demonstrations and stop the next Assembly proceedings along with the people of the region.

He said that he was deeply hurt by the humiliations meted out to the people of the area and he was also peeved at the political drama in the name of Amaravati.

The PCC chief announced that the Congress would henceforth directly participate in the capital city agitation. "The people of the region are really tired after raising slogans for the last more than 300 days. They were branded, lathi-charged, handcuffed, the women were abused and it was enough of it." He said that Jagan was not worthy son of Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy who never backtracked from his promises.

He flayed Jana Sena supremo Pawan Kalyan for his continuous praising of the BJP instead of making a clear statement on the capital city.

Congress leaders Mastan Vali, Pallamraju, Dr N Tulasi Reddy, Sunkara Padmasri, JD Seelam, Naraharisetti and others also participated.
