CPI flays CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, Chandrababu Naidu stands on farm laws

Tirupati: Fearing of the cases, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and Opposition leader N Chandrababu Naidu remaining silent on the farm laws, said CPI national secretary K Narayana.

The CPI leader led a tractor rally under the aegis of various farmers' associations here on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, Narayana lashed out at the CM and Naidu for remaining aloof from the farmers' nationwide protest, to press for the revocation of farm laws while hitting hard on Prime Minister Modi for not conceding the farmers demand even after 50 farmers died due to various reasons while protesting in New Delhi for more than a month.

"The unmoved BJP-led government at the Centre relaxing on the bodies of farmers,'' he said, hitting hard at the BJP for its anti-farmer approach.

The two regional parties which supported the Bharat Bandh of farmers, however, evaded to take part in the ongoing stir against the farm laws, he said and sought both to be directly involved in the stir if they committed to farmers cause.
