DG of Shipping visits VPT

Visakhapatnam: Director General of Shipping Amitabh Kumar visited Visakhapatnam Port Trust (VPT) along with his team on Friday. Deputy Chairman of VPT P L Haranadh gave them a warm welcome. Later, the DG of Shipping was taken for a launch cruise where the Deputy Chairman explained of the port operations, facilities and infrastructure available.

Amitabh Kumar expressed his satisfaction over the operations of port and in upkeep of the port clean and tidy. Secretary, Chief Mechanical Engineer, Deputy Conservator and other Heads of Departments and senior officers of VPT participated.
