Explain welfare schemes to every household, TDP activists told

Amaravati: Asserting that development and welfare done by TDP will help in winning the elections, TDP national president and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said the new schemes announced by the party are additional advantage for the party. Speaking in a teleconference with party leaders on Monday, Naidu said that the booth level party cadres will have greater responsibility in ensuring TDP win in the elections.

He asked the booth level cadres to meet voters personally at their respective villages and wards in urban areas, without missing even a single house Naidu said that every vote will have its impact and should not leave even a single house.

Giving high priority to the Seva Mitras (ground level party cadre who are appointed one each for 40 families in the state by the party) at par with public representatives, he said that they are going to play crucial role in converting the support for the party into votes. He asked the Seva Mitras to meet every house and explain the developmental and welfare programmes implemented by the state government in the last four years.

The TDP supremo asked the party activists to educate people on the 10 welfare promises announced by the party for the poor in the state. They include opening a dedicated bank for BCs with Rs 10,000 corpus fund, Rs 3,000 pension for senior citizens, reducing the age limit for old age pensions, 150 units electricity supply free of cost, Rs 5 lakh for NTR Vydya Seva, Rs 10 lakh under Chandranna Bima, relief for the poor on housing loans, Rs 10,000 crore direct benefit to 43 lakh beneficiaries under housing scheme.

Chandrababu Naidu said that the TDP government implemented welfare schemes without corruption and ensured that every single rupee reached the targeted beneficiary with the help of digital technology. He added that the direct cash benefit schemes like old age pensions, farmer debt redemption, Pasupu-Kunkuma, Chandranna Bima, Mukhyamantri Yuva Nestham (unemployment allowance) and many others benefited the people immensely and the message should be taken to every household.
