FLASH: Three youth die in a road mishap at Prakasam

Ongole: Three youngsters who are speeding on a motorbike, died on the spot when the vehicle hit a lorry from the backside on the night of Tuesday.

According to Maddipadu police, three youth, Bitluri Yesaiah aged 28 years, Bitluri Mathaiah aged 23 years and Nune Kotaiah aged 23 years, and natives of Kotha Jammalamadaka village of Velamavari Palem panchayat in Ballikurava Mandal are coming to Ongole from their village on a Honda Glamour bike with registration number AP27BQ3899, to purchase a Christmas star in Bapuji Market Complex at Ongole.

As the shops are about to close, the rider is driving the bike at high speed to reach the town as soon as possible. They lost control of the vehicle when they tried to overtake a lorry with registered number AP07TA9419, near Edugundlapadu on NH 16 and dashed it hardly from the backside at around 10.30 PM. The three youth died on the spot with severe head injuries.

The Maddipadu SI Firoz Fathima registered a case under sections of negligent driving and others and started the investigation.
