Guntur: Awareness rally on seasonal diseases organised

Guntur: Guntur Municipal Corporation officials and staff on Monday took out a rally to create awareness on seasonal diseases including malaria in Guntur city.

Speaking on this occasion, GMC biologist Obulesu said that as a part malaria month celebrations, they have taken steps to check spread of malaria and dengue fevers and added that the GMC has taken steps to fill the pits in the vacant lands in the district.

He stressed on need to keep surroundings clean and said that the GMC staff visiting the house to house spraying chemicals in the overhead tanks and doing fogging.

In addition to this, they are creating awareness on seasonal diseases through pamphlets, he said. Malaria inspector Venkatesarulu was also present.
