Guntur: Smuggled liquor worth 6 lakh seized

Guntur: Rural police on Monday seized 1846 liquor bottles illegally transported from Telangana state at Dachepalli in Guntur district.According to police officials, the value of liquor stocks seized is Rs 6 lakh. The police arrested two persons in this connection.

According to police, they seized the liquor while being brought from T-state illegally in a car. They booked cases against the two persons.  Liquor price is very much less in T-state compared to AP. To make a fast buck, some persons are illegally transporting the liquor from T-state and selling in AP.
