Guntur: YSR Cheyutha for empowerment of women

Guntur: District in-charge minister Cherakuvada Ranganatha Raju has said SC, ST, BC, Minority women will get a financial aid of Rs.18,750 under YSR Cheyutha scheme intended for empowerment of women.

He addressed a meeting held in the Colletorate on Wednesday on the occasion of launching YSR Cheyutha scheme. He said under this scheme, during the next four years they will get financial assistance of Rs 75,000. He said as many as 1,92,152 persons will get benefit of Rs 3,60,28,50,000. The amount will be credited to their bank accounts. He recalled that the state government had acquired necessary lands for the distribution of house sites to the poor. He alleged the opposition is creating hurdles to stop distribution of house sites. He recalled the government has allotted 2,93,000 house sites and house to 25,700 beneficiaries in the district. He said, if eligible will apply for house sites or for houses, they will get within 90 days. He further said that so far Covid-19 tests were conducted for 2,56,033 persons. About 90 per cent of results are negative. The doctors in the government hospitals are rendering better medical services to the patients suffering from Covid-19.

Home Minister Mekathoti Sucharitha urged the eligible beneficiaries of YSR Cheyutha scheme to avail the benefits extended under the scheme.

District collector I Samuel Anand Kumar, joint collector AS Dinesh Kumar, MP Mopidevi Venkata Ramana Rao, MLAs Kilari Rosaiah, Maddali Giridhara Rao were also present.
