Hanuman Jayanthi celebrated in Tirumala

Tirumala: The festival of Hanuman Jayanthi was observed with devotion on Sunday. In Tirumala, the day started with melodious Annamayya Sankeertans penned in praise of Lord Hanuman rendered by renowned Annamacharya Project artiste B Raghunath and troupe.

Later, special abhishekam was performed to Sri Bedi Anjaneya Swamy located in front of Tirumala temple. The Additional EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy, presented silk vastrams on behalf of TTD to Sri Anjaneya Swamy located at Japali Theertham. While in the evening, special puja was performed to the mammoth statue of Sri Anjaneya Swamy located at the seventh mile in First Ghat road.

The religious fete was observed in various temples dedicated toHanuman in the pilgrim city. Devotees were not allowed for darshan.
