IIITs ink pact with NSDL

Vijayawada: Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technology (RGUKT), Nuzvid AO Sunil Bhagat and RGUKT Srikakulam SO Mythili signed a memorandum of understanding with Santhosh Reddy, NSDL Asst manager, Hyderabad on Sunday. Speaking on the occasion, Reddy said that National Academic Depository (NAD) was a digital interface to issue academic certificates to the students in an online and secure manner.

It also serves both the university and the students by facilitating online verification of academic certificates without requiring paperwork.He said NAD was a 24/7 online store house of all academic awards certificates, diplomas, degrees, marks sheets duly digitised and lodged by academic institutions, boards and assessment board.

It also provides easy access to the retrieval of academic award and also validate and guarantees safe storage, he said. He said it was a prominent and a safer record of keeping all academic awards issued. No need for issuing duplicate certificate and the students can get from NAD, which effectively detects fake and folded paper certificate, said Reddy.
