Make arrangements for Independence-Day fete, Collector tells officials

Anantapur: District Collector S Sathyanarayana has called upon all district officials to make fool proof arrangements for the forthcoming August 15 independence day celebrations.

The Roads and Buildings department has been asked to make arrangements at the Police Parade Grounds for all the departmental stalls showcasing development.

The police have been asked to present a guard of honour for the guest of the day. Medical and Health officer Dr.Anil Kumar will open a medical clinic at the grounds on the day. Cultural programmes involving school children and cultural artists are being arranged on a grand note. The Collector called upon the officials concerned to organise programmes that would kindle patriotic fervour and spirit of national integration.
