Make use of Kanti Velugu scheme, Collector advises students in Kadapa

Kadapa: District Collector CH Harikiran asked the people to utilise YSR Kanti Velugu scheme by attending the eye tests being organised by the government.

Addressing the gathering after formally launching YSR Kanti Velugu programme at ZP High School here on Thursday, he said the scheme will be implemented in a phased manner. He said that there are 4.41lakh students studying in both government and private schools in the district and eye check-up tests have to be organised to all students for 10 days.

He said that after identifying defects during the examination, students who are suffering with defect will either be provided medicines or recommended for surgery based on intensity of the problem. Joint Collector-2 Siva Reddy DEO K Sailaja, DM&HO Umasundari and others were present.
