Minister Vallampalli fetes centenarians in Vijayawada

Vijayawada: Endowments Minister Vellampalli Srinivas appreciated the noble services of members of Vayovruddhula Charatable Trust in serving the senior citizens who were deserted by their own.

To mark International Day of Older Persons, the minister felicitated old people above 100 years of age at Vijaya Nursing School on Sunday. Speaking on the occasion, he said honouring people above 100 years age was a blessing and the trust should further extend its service to the old persons.

MLA Malladi Vishnu complimented the members of the trust for providing essentials and providing health checkups to the old persons on the roadside for the last 150 months.

As many as 14 persons above 100 years of age were honoured and Rs 2,600 was given to them on the occasion. Trust member M Murali Krishna, Madhusudhan Rao, Satish, Varaprasad, Umamaheswara, Subramanyam and others were present.
