More women applied for BED-2019 than men : Says VC SVU Prof VVN Rajendra Prasad

Tirupati, May 4: APEdCET – 2019 will be conducted by Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati On May 6 under the execution of APSCHE, Vijayawada.

On Saturday Addressing the media, Prof VVN Rajendra Prasad, Chairman of the CET and Vice Chancellor, SV University, Tirupati explained that advertisement for APEdCET – 2019 was given in the newspapers on 12-03-2019 for which we have received 14,019 applications Out of them 4488 are men and the remaining 9531 constitute women.

It is a welcoming factor that more women wish to become teachers.

" Out of the applications received, the subject wise details are: Mathematics – 3828, Physical Science – 1652, Biology – 2883, Social – 4903 and Special English – 753.

Area wise details reveal that out of the 14019 applications received, 7796 are from Andhra University area, 5749 are from SV University area, 230 are from Osmania University area and the remaining 244 applications are from non-local representing other states withresidence base from Andhra Pradesh " , the VC informed.

He told that, APEdCET – 2019 is scheduled on 06-05-2019 (Monday) between 11.00 AM to 1.00 PM in 16 towns and 56 centers in Andhra Pradesh.

The test is purely on-line test conducted by TCS, Hyderabad.

Candidates have to reach the centers by 10.00AM itself with hall ticket by following the instructions given on the hall ticket.

Even one minute late to the centers they will not be allowed.

The key will be placed in the website (http://sche.ap.gov.in) by 5.00PM on 6-05-2019. The candidates can send their objections if any, within 3 days after the CET and the results will be released after 10 days of APEdCET – 2019, the Vice Chancellor added.
