MoU signed to make engineering students job-ready
MoU signed between SITAM management and RVS Globe Technology officials at the campus in Vizianagaram
Vizianagaram: To facilitate industry-ready training and enhanced placement opportunities for students of mechanical, EEE, ECE, and civil engineering, Satya Institute of Technology and Management (SITAM) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with RVS Globe Technology, Visakhapatnam.
The MoU was formally exchanged in the presence of K Chandan Rao, business development manager and N. Ravi Shankar, corporate development manager from RVS Globe Technology along with Majji Sashibhushana Rao, director, DV Ramamurthy, Principal, and Ch. Venkatalakshmi, head of mechanical engineering department of the institution.
Through this partnership, students will receive practical training in modern non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques, smart quality control tools and identification of industrial challenges relevant to sectors such as construction, manufacturing and power.
Speaking on the occasion, Sashibhushana Rao said, “Our goal is to equip core engineering students with essential industrial skills that support strong and sustainable placements.”
Adding further details, Ravi Shankar informed, “We provide training in 3D printing, drone technology, robotics, UT gauge operations and key QC–QA tools, preparing students for opportunities in the oil and gas, marine, and aviation industries.”
This MoU enables hands-on NDT training, interpretation of results, joint research, technical events and awareness of emerging technologies and the collaboration will greatly enhance students’ industrial understanding and improve their career readiness. Faculty members, department heads, and students participated in the MoU signing ceremony.
