Nellore: BJP leader Midathala Ramesh appealed the Government to postpone implementing the new power tariff

Nellore: BJP leader Midathala Ramesh appealed to the State Government to postpone implementing the new power tariff which had commenced in April.

He said on Sunday that power consumers are facing financial problems due to lockdown and the new tariff is a burden on them.

Eighty per cent of people are facing financial troubles as they do not have work for livelihood.

Hike in power tariff would be additional burden on them. He appealed to the Government to postpone the decision for one year.

Most of the consumers have been facing acute financial problems as they have incurred heavy losses due to lack of work during lockdown, he said.
