Prakasam collector suspends four officials for negligence in emergency duties

Ongole: The Prakasam district collector Dr. Pola Bhaskara issued orders on Wednesday suspending a district level officer, one medical officer, and two others in the district for their negligence in duty. He expressed anger on the officers for recklessness when the administration is fighting against Coronavirus.

The collector suspended K Mahabood Basha, district social forest officer for leaving Ongole without any permission from authorities, Dr. S Hari, medical officer at Area Hospital in Markapuram for not attending duties. He ordered the authorities to also book criminal cases on the medical officer for his negligence when he is required to provide medical care to the patients. He also suspended GGH senior assistant B Prasanna Kumar and record assistant P, Venkata Rao, for not attending duties without permission.

The collector warned that stringent disciplinary action would be initiated on the government officers and staff if they do not attend the duties or leave the stations without permission, during the times of emergency.
